Presentation skills training: you can become a great presenter
You are an expert in your field. Let us make you an expert presenter.
As you progress in your career you are increasingly called upon to give presentations - to clients, peers and members of staff.
Our presentation skills workshops aim to help you find your individual presentation style, allowing you to connect with your audience and therefore persuade and inspire them to action.
All of our courses are tailored to your specific needs. First we gain a clear understanding of your business and training objectives. Then we agree on the structure, duration and content of your presentation skills workshop.
We use a wide range of interactive acting and writing exercises, as well as video and audio feedback. We focus on actual presentations to help you become secure and enthusiastic about your performance.
We concentrate on four key areas: voice skills, performance skills, writing skills and audience rapport.
As we explore voice skills, you will learn to:
make your voice work for you
speak with authority and ease, energy and vocal intelligence
project your voice so the audience isnt straining to hear you
lose your vocal crutches (ummms and ahhhhs)
use pauses to best effect
have variety in your phrasing, speed and tonality
speak in a conversational tone even when addressing large groups.
As we enhance your performance skills, you will gain the tools to:
capitalise on your own personal style
use stories to bring your data to life
paint pictures with your words to connect emotionally with your audience
unlock your expressiveness to hold an audiences attention
align your face, voice and gestures, so that they all tell the same story
conquer your nerves and stage fright
make nonverbal behaviour work for, rather than against, you.
As we develop writing skills, you will be able to:
structure a presentation that tells a story and inspires an audience
select essential points that will successfully persuade and motivate your audience
learn how to write an act-able script
create a strong opening and conclusion
weave examples and metaphors through your presentation for emotional impact
Reduce preparation time
As we develop audience rapport, it will help you to:
know who your audience is and connect your message to their needs
feel comfortable with an audience and make them forget you are speaking from a script
use eye contact to communicate effectively with your audience
be able to refer to notes, or use Microsoft PowerPoint, without losing audience contact.
Storytelling: a childs natural enthusiasm and sense of drama can be rekindled in adults.
